This year, the International Travel Trade Show (ITB) returned to Berlin for the first time since the pandemic began. Click and Book Travel was among those in attendance, and we were delighted to return and reconnect with colleagues and industry professionals.
Georgia Shines as Host
ITB Berlin 2023 was a highly anticipated event in the travel industry. It’s because of the fact that it was the first time the conference had been held in person since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. Georgia welcomed participants from all over the world to showcase their latest innovations, exchange ideas, and make new connections as the host country.
ITB’s Long-Awaited Return
The cancellation of the ITB Berlin trade show in March 2022 due to the pandemic was a major setback for the industry. However, the organizers were resolute about bringing it back in 2023, and they were successful. The reintroduction of ITB was a ray of hope for the travel industry, which had suffered greatly due to the pandemic.
The event was held at Messe Berlin, one of the world’s largest exhibition centers. The venue provided plenty of space for participants to display their products and services.

We’ve been communicating with them via virtual meetings and phone calls for the past two years because the pandemic has prevented us from meeting in person. So when we learned that ITB Berlin would be held this year, we were ecstatic at the prospect of finally seeing our partners in person.
For instance, when we entered the exhibition hall, we were greeted by familiar faces from our partners. We were overjoyed to see each other after such a long time apart.
What struck us the most was our partners’ genuine interest and concern for us. It was clear that we had all missed each other and were eager to see each other again. All in all, we were grateful for the opportunity to share a few moments of laughter and joy.
Finally, we realized that it isn’t just about business; it is also about people. And we couldn’t be happier having such wonderful partners who remind us of that daily.
Knowledge Sharing and Networking
ITB 2023 gave travel industry professionals an excellent opportunity to share their knowledge and expertise with others. Attendees had the opportunity to participate in a variety of seminars, workshops, and panel discussions on a variety of topics, including sustainability, digitalization, and the future of travel.
Networking was also an important aspect of the event, as participants were able to connect with other industry professionals. Many attendees found the exchange of ideas and information invaluable, as it allowed them to gain new insights and perspectives on the industry.
